of Medicine in Cardiff. After a post as Research
Assistant in the Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith
Hospital in London, and two years of
school
teaching, Dr. Jones' research for three years in the
University Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in
Perth, in Western Australia, yielded a PhD. A further
three years of post-doctoral study were pursued at the
McGill Medical School, Montreal, Canada, which yielded a
number of research papers published in Nature, Journal of

elsewhere. Since completing his academic studies, Dr.
